Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for Environmental protection.
The annual Earth Day Celebration at Genoa Park will be held Saturday, April 23, from noon to 7 p.m. Organized by the nonprofit Green Columbus, the free event will feature food trucks and live music.
Green Columbus has published an online list of dozens of volunteer opportunities — including cleanups and planting sessions — that are being held throughout Columbus until early May.
Roll up your sleeves and plant some trees at Big Walnut Park, 1826 Lattimer Dr., on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Organizers are the Women's Council of Realtors in Columbus and Columbus' Recreation and Parks Department.
